Five 'N Five with Guest Blogger Beatty - #2 In A 5-Part Series Designed To Make You Laugh & Keep You Sane

In our Five 'N Five series, we are finding other moms with experiences we can all relate to who give advice we can all learn from. Here are five answers from one of our favorite mommy bloggers, Beatty, at www.peanutbutterhair.com

Enjoy!

1.) In 5 sentences or less, tell us who you are as a mom (your philosophies on motherhood):

I am a mom of three boys and a girl, ages 5, 7, 9 and 11.  I love them unconditionally and believe in raising them with structure and guidance, which is typically overruled by wild and craziness.  I believe that no parents are perfect and that people will often give you advice on how to do things the "right" way from the day your pregnancy test pops up positive.  It's good to listen to their words of wisdom and experience, but in the end, it's better to trust your own instincts and know what's best for your child.

2.) Name 5 reasons you have your blog:

I've written in a diary my whole life.  When our firstborn came along, I didn't have the time or energy to write and I regretted missing that time.  I began to blog years later to act as a diary for all four kids to have.  I didn't know if anyone else would read it.  I really just wanted to document their lives/experiences.  First days of school, birthdays, holidays...the blog is my way of capturing memories, emotions and photos of their childhood.

3.) What, in your opinion, are the five reasons moms can very easily go crazy:

Sleepless nights. Screaming kids. Crying babies. Zero time alone. Water slides across the kitchen floor (Oh yes.  It happens.)

4.) What five expressions do you find yourself saying the most to your little ones?

What did I say?
Because I said so!  (I swore I'd never say that, but I do.)
You stuck WHAT in the toilet?
DON'T sit on your brother/sister.
I Love You.

5.) What are YOUR five ways of staying sane?

Prayer
Date nights
Talking/venting with husband/family/friends
Blogging
Reading/TV
